You didn't like the movie? I loved it. I remember seeing it in ninth grade. I still have the images from it in my head.

Anyone read A Separate Peace? Two boys at school? Good story.
Gift of the Magi, also a classic.
Anyone interested in auditioning for Hello Dolly should read The Matchmaker. That's what the musical is based on.

i had to try and read the grapes of wrath Sick i'm sorry but no child should have to read any of steinbeck's works. all i can say is thank god for spark notes Winking i'm definately NOT a steinbeck fan.

has anyone read wuthering heights? i have to read it (among many others) for AP english and i was wondering if it was any good.

i don't know if anyone would be interested but othello is playing at Shakespeare in the Park until august 19 at 7:30 tuesdays- sundays. just a note for all you Heart Shakespeare Heart fans out there!

Anyone read Shiloh? or Because of Winn-Dixie? I read them this year to my fourth graders. Both very good reads. How about Maniac Magee?
