Frequently Asked Questions
Can I reserve tickets?
Absolutely! Call the theatre at 743-1614. If you don't get a person, tell the machine 3 things: your name, the show date and your telephone number. You will receive a confirmation call. Arrive at the theatre & pay for the tickets with credit card, cash or check. Tickets will be held up to 15 minutes before curtain.
Where is the theatre located?
The Ghostlight Theatre is a 113 year old church building on the corner of Schenck & Vandervoort Streets. Close landmarks: Scalise Deli, Ascension Church, Caroussel Museum, Brick Bros Pizza.
Where do I park?
Parking is available on both Vandervoort and Schenck Streets. As a rule, please read parking signs carefully when parking on the street.
What time does the show begin and end?
In general, performance times are as follows: Thursday evening performances begin at 7 PM. Friday and Saturday evening performances begin at 8 PM. Sunday matinee performances begin at 2 PM. All shows are a different length in time, depending on the script. It would probably be safe to tell a baby-sitter that the show is approximately 2 hours long, with a fifteen minute intermission. Some shows are shorter than that, while others may be longer.
What time should I arrive at the theatre? What if I'm late?
We recommend patrons arrive at least 30 minutes before the show to avoid last minute lines at the box office. Large groups should allow more time before the show to distribute tickets. We recommend an hour before the performance. If you are running late, keep in mind that the box office windows stay open until about 15 minutes after curtain. If you arrive by that time, you can pick up your tickets there. If not, see the house manager in the lobby, he/she will have your tickets. The ushers will take you into the house and have you stand at the back until the next seating break.
What do I do if I can't find my ticket?
If you lose your tickets contact the box office as soon as possible. The more time we have to help the better the chances of resolving the issue are. Subscribers and any paper trail purchases can usually get replacement tickets. Cash purchases are difficult to trace. If you purchased tickets through a cast member, that can usually be resolved as well. Any orders sent through the mail are verifiable.
Where do I pick up my tickets? Do I need to show an ID or credit card?
In the main/inner lobby. We don't usally require an ID. Normally all you will need is the first and last name that the tickets are held under. However, it's also helpful to have the ticket order number and/or credit card number associated with your order.
Where can I eat something before the show?
If you're looking for dinner, there are several excellent restaurants just a few blocks from the theatre. The Ghostlight Theatre concessions stand opens in the lobby during intermission to provide light fare and a variety of drinks.
What number should I give the babysitter?
You can leave the number for the theatre: 716-743-1614. Remember to leave your seat locations with your sitter so we can locate you more easily.
