Jill Anderson (Green)

Jill is so excited to be working on her 11th consecutive musical at the Ghostlight Theatre! Jill has been performing for 15 years, having performed in over 30 local productions. Some of her past roles include Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Sally Bowles (Cabaret), Queen Gertrude (Hamlet), and Sister Mary Leo (Nunsense 1&2). She is a proud graduate of the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Music Theatre and a minor in education. This past May, Jill also earned her M.S Ed in Theatre Education from Niagara University. At UB, she had the great honor of directing The Cat in The Hat, which was the first children's theatre production for young audiences performed through the university’s Theatre and Dance Department. Her passion for theatre education began seven years ago, and since then, she has directed and/or choreographed over 16 productions for performers of all ages. Her work on Bring it On! was nominated for “Best Choreography of a Musical” through BroadwayWorld’s Regional Awards in 2019, and her production of Rock of Ages won Best Musical the year prior. Other awards include a TANY for her portrayal of Penny in Hairspray and a Tony Award nomination for the 2022 Educator of the Year Award. Currently, Jill is working as the Theatre and Dance teacher at Sacred Heart Academy. In her free time, she has the privilege of teaching singing lessons at Matt’s Music in North Tonawanda, adjudicates for Shea's Kenny Awards, and snuggles with her cat, Boots.

Jessica Smith (Blue)

Jessica Smith has been a vocal student at Matt's Music for nearly three years, during which she has participated in Matt's Music singing events and has performed songs and backup vocals at gigs with other local musicians. With a career in technology, she recently took over the role of Stage Manager at Niagara Wheatfield School District, responsible for sound, lighting, and advising the stage crew (Addams Family [2022], Moana Jr [2022], and 13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview [2022]). She is so excited to make her own musical theater debut as Blue Girl! She would like to thank the Starry Night Theater Directors and her fellow cast for making her first musical theater performance a wonderful experience!
